The Crimea
The Crimean peninsula was the most developed tourist center of Ukraine before the Russian occupation in 2014. This region combines the picturesque Black Sea coast with a length of more than 1000 kilometers with the picturesque mountainous landscapes of the Crimean Mountains.
According to the results of opinion polls in 2012-2013, the majority of the population of Crimea was pro-Ukrainian, as the Ukrainian authorities actively supported and developed the peninsula for decades. At the same time, the Crimeans had a large percentage of autonomy and self-government.
